The Brutal Reality of WaitingSo it has been 45 days since I last heard your voice and it has been 29 days since you decided to give up on us. While it’s a fact that all these days have been really tough, I’m proud to say that I managed to survive and still function well at work and at home. I can still smile, crack jokes, and laugh. But despite those what seemed to be genuine smile and laughter, I won't deny that I am still UNHAPPY. Undeniably, I'm just so good at pretending- pretending to be okay.
Dear you,
Yes, you. How are you? Let me just make things clear before I pour my heart out here. Please know that I'm not mad. My love for you is just too much to feel any anger or hatred towards you. What I feel now, however, is pain and disappointment. Hello job hunter! :) Welcome to the 2nd part of my “Job Interview Guidelines for Freshers” blog series. Don’t miss the first part here where I shared the right attitude to pack for an interview. Today, let's equip you the knowledge of answering interview questions, are you guys ready? :)
Before we get the ball rolling, let me just greet all the graduates this year. Congratulations, graduates!! :) I can imagine the happiness you guys feel now that you have that inaasam asam na diploma. I’ve been there, I know the roller coaster ride you have to go through so you can wear the most beautiful OOTD you will most probably have, your toga. So c’mon guys, give yourselves a pat on the back *pat pat pat :)
Now that you’ve earned a degree, it’s time to move on to your life’s next chapter. Some of you may choose to rest for a while before stepping out to the real world I call jungle. Some may still be busy at di pa tapos ang kalbaryo to review for an upcoming board exam. Some may be a little lucky to already have a job waiting for them but, MAJORITY of you will surely be on your job hunting stage. Perhaps that’s the reason why you’re here :)

DIY Ice Cream:  Pinoy Style Coffee Cookies and Cream Flavor  W/OUT An  Ice Cream MakerHello there! Welcome back to my blog :) If you haven't known yet, I don't only watch vlogs and beauty videos on YouTube but also dessert related videos. Since ice cream is one of my favorites, I have searched and watched loads of Home Made Ice cream videos. Some tutorials are a little complicated as they require an ice cream maker plus a lot of ingredients and procedures to be followed. Luckily, there were also quite a number of tutorials which only require less machine, effort, and ingredients. Today, let me share to you my FIRST ATTEMPT of making a Coffee Cookies and Cream Ice Cream! :)
It's February and it's the month when MOST "Singles" feel emotional. Wait, don't raise your brows and start hating my statement above. Take note I said "MOST" not "ALL". Now if you don't have a romantic pair for this year's Valentine's Day, you may want to spend it with the people who are dear to you. And if they aren't around, then spend it with YOURSELF :)
We officially reached the month of December. It's that time of the year when most of us employed individuals receive our 13th month pay and some are even lucky enough to receive their Christmas Bonus, yey!! :) And since most of us celebrate our Christmas and New year by preparing sumptuous food, partying, and gift giving, pretty sure most of us would end up broke after the Holiday Season. Well let me tell you this, your hard earned money shouldn't vanish in a blink of an eye.
The last blog post I made was a Budget Friendly Graduation Makeup Tutorial to help those Octoberian ladies look and feel pretty on their graduation day. Now that the emotional and unforgettable graduation day is over, the reality of life kicks in.
For most of us, it is inevitable to look for a job immediately after graduation since most of us Pinoys look at this event as pay back time; a time to repay all our parents/guardians sacrifices :) So for this post, I would like to share to you some of the important Do's and Don't's in job hunting and job application.

Have a Break, Get Back on Track"Dear life, I've had enough bullshit to last a while, can we take a break please?" Sorry for the "B" word there but I saw this quote on the internet and it hit me. This quote is very TRUE for most us, especially if you're an adult who fights a battle on a daily. Personally, I feel this way almost every day and I can't help but wish to be as happy when I was a kid, and I mean when I was as young as 5-7 yrs old. However, what's happening now is the REALITY and I have no choice but to live in the PRESENT and just find ways not to be burned out. When the battle seems too tough, I don't do silly things that would only make the situation worst. What I do is stop, breath and take a break from everything.
"I QUIT". These, I believe, are the scariest words an employer may hear from his employees. The feeling is the opposite if the employees who will utter these words are non-performer. I have never been an employer myself but I believe that losing a GOOD employee has a huge impact on how a team/department/company runs. First, it is costly. Think about the amount of money the employer has to spend in job advertising and training. Next, it is time consuming. The person/people tasked to train the newly hired employee can actually do something more productive than training the neophyte. And lastly, it may leave a negative impact on the remaining employees. If a good employee leaves, there will always be the question "WHY" in the minds of those who were left. |
